This "clarification" is so full of errors that I will not address the posting, as such.
I have a draft posting, on my thumb drive, going into some of our language:
Rather than attempting to correct all the errors in this "clarification", I will try to post my own message sometime soon.
With all due humility, I believe that I coined the term, "Poor Man's Heuer", so let me have a go at clarifying it. The meaning is simple, "a watch made by Heuer and sold (or now selling) for less money under the name of another brand" [like Clebar, Aristo or Zodiac] . . . if it wasn't made by Heuer, then it's not a "Poor Man's Heuer".
Here is the first posting that I have been able to find, referring to a "Poor Man's Heuer" -- http://chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?md=read;id=542. Yes, it was message number 542, of the over 75,000 that we now have on this forum, and have a look at the two watches shown in the posting.
