Came upon this watch by chance and the dial immediately grabbed my attention.
At the time of purchase I had not known anything about Jaques Monnat watches.
Since then I have been doing some research. Apparently there is a connection to
Jenny watches and Ollech&Wajs. This one should have a Valjoux 72 movement,
I have not opened it yet as I am on vacation where I purchased this beauty.
The picture is of the watch as found. The original crystal will get some polish.
The movement will be overhauled and the unpolished case will be left as is.
The picture has not captured the colors quite right so I will take more pics. when
I get back to the office. Your contributions on the subject would be appreciated.
