In reality (if you're personally not going to find satisfaction with this watch) consider selling it. I am sure a member here would "snap-up" a nice piece like this and quickly in its beautiful current state. You could then use the recouped funds to find & buy another GMT with the overall aesthetic appeal you desire. Win/win. Again, just offering an opinion.
