Re: Rest in Peace, Laurent (Noodia)

: RIP, Laurent.

It is a different world we live in that the world where/when my father collected watches. We can get to know people in different/new ways. The social media of watch collecting adds so much. I did not know Laurent well and I did not know him face to face the way some of you did or the way my dad would have had to know his watch friends...face to face and with the shake of a hand. I had a few pleasant exchanges with him...I shook his hand in the ether. He answered some questions in his gentlemanly and helpful way. I admired his watches and his taste and he thanked me.

The world is different but it is the same too. In the end all you have is your good name. In the end a lot more people will have known the good name of Laurent Noodia than would have been possible in my dad's world and time. May his family find peace and know that he has left them with a good name.
