For some pieces, estimates were high IMHO

As Rich says well, if the truly outstanding pieces are set aside (i.e. very rare and in very good conditions and "hot" in demand), for the limited and later-period pieces that I know a bit, the auction's original estimations were quite high - and in at least one case, very high. I am referring to the lower end of the estimations specifically.
In any case, if this has meant that some of us have bagged a few of these watches for a reasonable sum, well I'm more than glad for you all guys :-)!
The broader market, looking at eBay auctions and watch site sales fora, seems still very strong to me though - so much so that I've been priced out for quite some time now.
Cheers,
Fabrizio
