Definition of "Azurage"

Azurage (noun): The condition that arises from staring at the concentric circles in the register (or registers) of a vintage chronograph, with the result that the viewer believes he or she is on a beautiful beach, staring out at waves of the ocean. Instead of ordering another drink, the enthusiast orders another watch.
