Re: 1163 Siffert and serial number

Thanks for your answers
However one thing I do not understand: I have one 1163 MH mark 3 (polished steel markers, with luminous inserts, polished steel hands with luminous and black inserts, 3-6-9-12 on hour recorder) with serial number starting by 143! So basically mine is the equivalent to the Siffert mark 4 but with a black and white dial. Why mine starts with 143 when the equivalent Siffert model start with 144 and not before?
Antoine

: Hi

: Towards the back end of 143xxx and 144xxx see start of the black
: painted markers, with 3,6,9 dials, I think the updated Autavia
: book says circa 144xxx as start. 1-12 dials later than this. At
: least according to my serial database.

: 141/142 are Chronomatic or 1st exec all steel ridged marker dials.
