Calling All Up / Down Heuer Chronographs

Some of us are trying to sort through the 1940s Heuer chronographs -- yes, we needed a "next big thing" after the Camaro project. It would be great if some readers can post or send samples of their "Up / Down" Heuer chronographs.

There seem to have been many varieties -- two movements (Venus 170 and Valjoux 77); stainless steel or plated; white or black dials; "Heuer" in the top register or below it; and of course the mysterious "2 Heuer 2", which remains to be explained.

So please post whatever you have. Bonus points for photos of the movement and serial number, inside the case-back. Send by email, if that's easier for you.

Thanks,

Jeff
