I Think It Went Cheap

For someone who is willing to undertake a "project", and spend some time and money to get the movement [not too hard] and the hands [also within the realm of possibility], this struck me as a bit under-priced. I believe that an original Transitional Autavia is worth well over $20,000, so whoever can complete this project will have a good look-alike.

Of course, we get to the difficult ethical question -- how will the watch be represented when the time come to sell the watch? With the case serial number known (to those who follow these watches closely), this one will probably be recognized as a put-together watch.

Personally -- I love the style of the "Transitional" Autavia, and think that it's a great looking watch. I shade stouter than the usual first execution case, but smaller than the 2446C . . . based on the looks alone, a top five vintage Autavia, if I had to make a list.

: Look for a wtb advert for the movement and hands ;)

: On a serious note, a complete transitional 2446 watch, even in this
: condition, would be worth circa £15k-20k so that leaves someone
: a heathy profit margin should the watch be completed.

: I was staggered to see this case with bezel, insert and pushers
