Maybe cheating hubby is the current top bidder

One bidder just entered the fray on the 15th and has placed 11 bids in a two minute span running up the current bid from $3,450 to $8,000. This is the only item this particular bidder has placed bids on in over 30 days. Hmmm. Could this be her cheatin' hubby hoping to thwart the auction by running it up big time and then being a non paying winner of the auction? Does said hubby realize his wife can always offer the watch to the second highest bidder? Or is this just all a scam or joke? Time will tell. Fun to watch in the meantime.

: There are some interesting comments on the Hodinkee posting.

: But with the bidding now sitting at $8,000 (for a $3,000 watch), we
: have to wonder whether the whole thing is a joke?
