Both examples (French and Swiss made cases) have Brevet on the inside. The "France" or "G Monnin" signed cases came first then the Swiss made cases came after they took production to Switzerland once the demand was realized.

It is well documented that the 844s weren't produced until the late 70's and they would be French made.
