Thanks Bernard, that is fascinating.
Perhaps my taste will continue to improve/mature.
I'm still a sucker for the zingy golden/orange lume, particularly on a 2447S, where I think it contrasts brilliantly against the dial.
I totally understand the arguments for authenticity & originality though.
