Under Armed Guards! LOL! *PIC*

Thank you to all for all the kind words, and I am thrilled to have this beauty at home in sunny Southern California. After seeing this amazing piece in the Heuer Parade catalog, I was thrilled to know that I had the opportunity finally to get my hands on one. And unexpectedly, while attending the Phillips PN Auction in NYC, they had a preview of the Heuer Parade pieces, of which the GMT was just staring at me. One look at it in person, and my jaw dropped! I can say that it looks even better in person than any photos that I have been able to take so far. It is truly an exceptional piece, and I want to especially thank Paul for putting it into the auction, and giving us an opportunity to enjoy this amazing piece.

So a few days before the auction, I was speaking to my friend Michael (IG: @EberhardFan), and discussing the upcoming Geneva auctions, and he mentioned he was going to be bidding on the same watch! It's one thing bidding against paddle numbers, and another when it's someone you know for sure that you will be competing against. So after discussing it further, we ended up with the brilliant idea of partnering on the bid, which also would give us better odds on winning, if in the case that bids got "out of hand". When the hammer hit, we were both thrilled for winning, but also surprised that we got such a great deal! We were anticipating and ready for higher numbers, but in this instance, glad we got a "deal".

Looking forward to sharing this piece at future GTGs, and allowing our fellow vintage collectors appreciate this insane passion we have for our vintage Heuer's.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Cheers
Carlo

As you can see in the pic below, the GMT is under armed guards, so it is safe and secure! ;)
