11630 Silver Orange journey

Hello, I'd like to share my 1st vintage Heuer and the story to bring it to top condition.
I've messaged some collectors separately but I figured this is THE home of Heuer collectors.

A year ago I went to my dealer and he had this Autavia. Around here vintage Heuers are so rare. He warned there are work to be done but it was priced accordingly. A more experienced collector would prefer condition over rarity, but I was still a novice and the thought of having a vintage Heuer was too good to pass up so I took the challenge.

Here are the condition when I got it.

The most glaring was incorrect pushers and sloppy relume job. I emailed Abel and he noted the spring was incorrect. I believe that should be the flyback lever (part 8335)?

The next post will be the restoration efforts.
