Re: Heuer Autavia 1563

Change those hands and you're good to go. As for the 1163V case, I've seen some Exotics using the same case so I don't find it strange. For €2.200 it's a good buy. Enjoy it!!

: Hi, I posted last week about a chance to buy what seems to be a
: Heuer Autavia 1563. I’m starting a new thread since I have
: better pictures. I ended up buying it for $3500 Canadian dollars
: here in Toronto (which is the equivalent of $2700 USD or 2200
: Euro). Not important, but it was priced at $4500 (but he had a
: Rolex 16710 K serial for $9000 so I asked if he'd take $1000 off
: the Heuer if I bought both, so he did), but I got it for $3500.
: So I am now trying to figure out what exactly I bought and how
: much it is roughly worth. If anyone can help me I would greatly
: appreciate it. The case is stamped “1163” and with what
: looks to be a “V” underneath the “1163”. This can be
: seen in the pictures below. It is clearly visible on the case
: between the lugs. Also the serial# is clearly shown as 277866.
: When researching the watch I realized that it is a reference
: 1563, which is the caliber 15 movement version of the Heuer
: 1163, and that some of these had 1563 on the case and some had
: 1163 on the case (like this one), even though it is a 1563. I've
: read on forums that this is true that some of these 1563
: actually have "1163" on the case between the lugs. I
: can't seem to find an exact match or comparison online. I’ve
: been told that the hands are not correct to the watch. Also it
: does have a "Heuer" signed crown, and the caseback has
: a small engraving of “7127” (does anyone know what that
: means?). Also, the leather band and clasp are generic and not
: Heuer. I would greatly appreciate any insight from anyone that
: knows this Heuer Autavia model. The watch is telling accurate
: time and the crown and both pushers work perfectly. Thank you!
