In Response To: Jeff, I am not convinced ()

Yes the Autavia thing is getting way out of hand but are you surprised?

G

: First I must admit that I am biased owning more than twenty
: Autavias, one Monaco and zero Carreras.

: The Carrara and Monaco brand/name has over many years developed
: into all sorts of modern and vintage inspired watches. They
: carry the names with pride because they are the newest breed of
: a long history.

: Autavia on the other hand was relaunched last year as the result of
: the Autavia Cup. It leaped 40 years instead of developing as the
: Carrera and Monaco. TAG Heuer don’t need another line of
: 3-handers as they have several already.

: The Autavia design can be developed in many ways faithful to its
: heritage. The wonderful GMT that we have seen on social medias,
: Siffert (I have ordered one from Calibre 11), Orange Boy etc.
: etc.

: PS
: The biggest problem with the Autavia 2017 is its size. Being a
: chronograph the size can be justified but a bulky 42 mm 3-hander
: watch will look out of proportion.

: ----------------------

: I really like my Autavia 2017 "Bell". It is nearly as
: pretty as the 1964 Autavia 2446.
