Light is the key to photography. When people ask me what camera I used to take a particular photo I always want to say "you should be asking me about the light." Using light/lighting to your advantage is key to good photography no mater whether you are using a phone camera or very expensive Hasselblad digital. After you get the light/lighting right, the camera can make a difference but until you get the lighting right the camera doesn't much matter.
