Some thoughts

Fabrizio is correct, there do seem to be two font types. But I have seen both font types (thin & tall vs fat and squat) on IDF Autavias. The Phillips IDF Autavia and one I own have a the taller thin font. The one I have is direct from an Israeli ex-mil surplus dealer (not a watch dealer) so I believe is 100% correct.

I must say though that the engraving on the back of the one coming up for auction doesn’t look 100% right. The Israeli Autavias all have a distinctive engraving style, where the engraving tool is rotating so you see spirals. On the auction Autavia it doesn’t look like that but maybe it is just the photo; no one should take a definitive view from one photo in one angle.

Happy to post photos of the different font styles and my IDF Autavia if people are interested.
