service by mail for vintage omega

I have an omega chronostop that I believe has a broken mainspring. When I wind it I no longer feel resistance just a slipping every now and then. I also need to have the pusher replaced. My local watchmaker is closing his doors. Watch is otherwise in good condition, no rust on movement etc... and is running and keeping time fine. Parts are available from otto frei.

Does anyone have experience mailing in a watch for service, if so who would you recommend. I got a quote for $600 for complete service from a vintage specialist in oregon. That's just a little under what I paid for the watch. I'd like to get it done for less if possible. I'm located in CONUSA
