Offered here is a custom-made wristwatch powered by vintage ROLEX Rebberg movement. This high-jeweled movement was made in BIENNE, SWITZERLAND at the BEGINNING OF XX CENTURY. Conserved in a very good condition and keeps time perfectly. New stainless steel custom-made case was created in our days and has been perfectly adjusted by professional atelier. Watch is perfectly regulated and has been recently serviced for keeping an accurate time considering age of the movement.

This watch was converted from original antique wrist watch to a modern design wrist watch. The ROLEX Rebberg movement was produced between 1909-1919. This watch and its historical movement preserve the quality of premium hand-crafted Swiss watches.

HISTORY OF ROLEX BRAND

Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex company, together with the case manufacturer Davis, established watches wholesale company Wilsdorf & Davis in London in 1905. Davis takes over the case production and Wilsdorf the acquistion of high quality watch movements. He was in need of a supplier who could make miniaturized movements for wristwatches. Consequently, he turned to the Aegler family movement makers based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, who specialized in small mechanical movements. In 1908 Wilsdorf registered today's world-famous brand "Rolex" for his watches. In 1913 Aegler registered Rolex as a trademark for the manufacture of watches and watch parts. In 1915 England has fixed high import taxes on watches and Rolex relocates it's headquarters to Bienne and in 1920 to Geneva. In 1919 a new company was incorporated in Geneva by Wilsdorf & Davis as Montres Rolex SA. Its manufactory was listed as "Manufacture des Montres Rolex, Aegler S.A." Aegler manufactured movements in its ébauche factory in the Rebberg district of Bienne, and as a consequence of this Rebberg was a registered as a trade mark by Aegler, hence these movements are often referred to as "Rebberg" movements. The company name is now "Montres Rolex SA".
