Actually, Verona has *no* automotive connections whatsoever (no circuit, no auto company, no drivers), it is about 150 km from Monza (which is near Milan) and 200 km from Imola (which is near Bologna), and by European standards that means *far*.

150km? Why, that's less than 100 miles! That's like a long 3 Wood shot here in the USA! Although people from Chicago do sometimes consider Wisconsin (about 60 miles away) a foreign land (Truth be told, some Milwaukee folks consider Illinois (and Illini similarly!)...

Slightly OT, I read in another post that someone suggested Monaco is in Italy; it is in fact a country in its own right (albeit a small one) and has no borders with Italy, being in essence a French tax haven.

Gosh, I hope I didn't make that mistake... I like to think my geographical knowledge is better than that! Monaco (ne: Monte-Carlo) home of the Rainier's, great wealth, casino's and the crown jewel of the Formula One Schedule!

I always thought it would be neat to tour Europe in parallel with the F1 Circuit for a month or two! That and do a tour of James Bond Filming locations!
