There ist also a Heuer Cortina, named after the glamourous ski-village Cortina d'Ampezzo in the italian alps. Verona is well known for it's annual Guiseppe Verdi festivals in an ancient Roman arena.
Perhaps those two watches were Heuer's interpretations of a "dress watch" back those times, because both look a little bit more elegant, than the race-track-watches. At least with the roman numerals. Perhaps this was the reason to name those watches after places which are quite well known to attract the European "Jet Set"?
