He replaced the backlight bulb, the case back gasket and new batts. Neil tries to repair vs. replace when possible. He added:

"One very small problem was it was running a bit fast by about 8 seconds a day and I couldn’t trim this out, however….

Another trick Heuer used to carry out was add extra low value capacitors to allow more trimming so I took the liberty of adding a couple of capacitors to the oscillator to bring it in.

I check everything with a very accurate frequency counter, the counter says it’s spot on but I want to check over the next 24 hours to be sure. I’m pretty confident it is though.

Everything else good.

Whilst I was at it I replaced the case back gasket as it had gone hard too.
