Added to OnTheDash -- This fantastic Heuer Reference 333 AR chronograph, circa 1950. 36 millimeter stainless steel case; powered by the Vajoux 22 movement; original radium on the dial and hands.
In the period from 1943 into the mid-1950s, Heuer offered a series of chronographs described as "flat" models ("plat" in French and "flaches" in German). Movements powering these "flat" chronographs included the Landeron 13, Valjoux 72, and Valjoux 22 . . . look for the "3" in the reference numbers as the telltale -- 2433, 2443, 333 and 3336.
The Reference 333 measures 36 mm across the dial, and the geometry of the case, bezel and dial gives the watch a strong presence on the wrist.
