Re: Siffert Fans -- What Do You See?? *PIC*

If the white dial Autavia is the "Jo Siffert", I guess that would make my newly aquired Carrera 45 Dato (later model with black dial, date at 9) the "John Morton" model. I bought my watch from road racing legend John Morton, and he was awarded this watch in 1970 for winning the SCCA National Championship in Pete Brock's BRE Datsun. John tells me that he wore my watch in every race he raced in thru the '70s, and he liked it because he could check to see how much time was remaining in the race, and it was easy to read. He has "a whole bunch of pictures" of him wearing the watch in various race cars, and I can't wait to go thru them next time I am in L.A. John still had the original box/strap/buckle/warranty too!

I'll attempt to post a picture.

I'll post a picture of my "John Morton" when it is done.

: It's a big chrono, but is it an Autavia? Seems
: to be, but this was very soon after they
: were introduced. Difficult to be certain . .
: . a nice photograph in any case.

: Also notice the boyish looking Brian Redman.
