I think a substantial part of Heuer's 1980 and 90s range was in place or designed before the Tag takeover. It seems likely that the Piaget family had a hand in the design of the 1000M along with the 2000 and 3000 series, as they owned a substantial holding in the company in the late 70s and early 80s. I'm sure the 2000 series will eventually become truly collectable as the design is a classic.

if anyone has more solid info on this it would be interesting to hear?
