Re: Another Massive / Almost NOS Chrono *PIC*

: For those of you interested in the controversy
: about the oversize Heuer chronos (sometimes
: called "Targa Florio" / sometimes
: associated with Fangio), the link below will
: take you to an ebay auction of a similar
: chronograph, with a white dial.

: If this was a limited production run made by
: Heuer for a racing team, and put away many
: years ago by a collector, why are they now
: appearing with different color dials and in
: slightly different configurations?? Until
: someone can produce evidence of their
: authenticity, I will stick with my
: conclusion that these are modern-day
: "fakes".

Interestng subject.

By "modern day "fakes"" you mean franken-heuers (watches put toghether from parts of various watches, some of them true Heuers) or you mean 100% fake? Where did the movement came from? I have never seen a "fake" one pusher chrono movement.

Btw, what do you (all) think of the Autavia in the picture? Note the 2-tone (white-black) case.

Another strange/rare heuer I saw in the recent past on ebay was a SS chrono with 2-tone dial (black-brown) with white arabic hourmarkers.

Maybe I can post a picture later.

A very interesting subject IMO, that demands as much participation as possible.
