Several months ago, I received a great e-mail, from a collector in England, who explained the different finishes on the back-plates (and the techniques used to make the plates).

Let me contact him and ask for an explanation.

It's good to know that others are interested in the back-plates. Some suggested that the back-plate page of OnTheDash was a shade "over the top".
