The PD 1873 that got away...

Hello Chuck

Wow, your PWI 1873 looks very nice and I think you have a special grey version.

That may well be. It's not a Black black, but more of a very dark gray. I bought it off of eBay last year, and if you poke around the same folder as those pictures were from, you'll find my archive of the auction listing.

I saw only 2 of them at the last 10 - 12 years. Also are the blue dials most rarer then the blacks. Take care of this real rare watch. Thanks for sharing pics.

Always happy to share, and I appreciate your advice on the PWI's...

Here are my PWI`s a Orfina Porsche Design 1873 and a PWI 1873

Very nice. It's great to see display backs on them. I know at one time I archived a PD 1873 auction because I didn't have the funds to bid. Here are the pictures from that offering.

I bought both watches(1873)with a steel / glass (1873 )caseback. I had never seen bevor a steel caseback ? Great to see.

I've been on the outlook for another one ever since passing up the opportunity on the PD1873 from eBay back in 2005. When the PWI came along I picked it up for a pretty fair price. Just over 400¤ before shipping if I remember correctly.
Cheers!
