Hi Guys (been lurking for a while),
Hi Adam.
Hacmac's right. You've got a very old (pre '66) speedmaster.
It has a symetrical case ( The pushers stick out a long way out & are not protected), The correct ( & valuable bracelet), The correct hands, The correct rear case cover ( no Inscription), & possibly an applied metal Omega Logo.
This all dates the watch to pre-66.
To find out more you need to get the back off & write down the case number ( It'll be stamped on the inside of the rear case cover) & the 8 digit serial number on the movement ( it will be a 321 movement).
I personally would send it back to Omega in Switzerland for a renovation. They will send it back to you looking like new. They will also return all parts they remove from the watch. It may not be cheap, but it will be worth it & you will not get a better job done anywhere else.
I can't really comment on the price ( & knowing exactly which model it is may increase the value dramatically) but I wouldn't sell it for less than 1700 US$ ( even in that condition)
As I said the strap is also very valuable.
If you're interested in learning more, follow the link below (?) to Chuck Maddox index page, scroll down till you find the Speedmaster/Moonwatch stuff & read away !
Nice watch & quite rare.
Steve
