I’ m the second hand owner of vintage Omega Constellation Chronometr
Steel case, ‘silverish’ dial, black hands, ref. nr 163.001, movement 712, movement nr. 23185428.
I wonder of its several items:
- The dial- there is a inscription ( below 6): ‘SWITZERLAND’, instead of ‘ SWISS MADE’. Does original Omegas with such a item can be found?
- The movement is 712, so the first year of its production is ’67. How we can compare it (712) to the rest of the group? (55x, 56x, 7xx)
- The movement doesn’ t have cipher ‘1’ in area of omega sign.
To my knowledge, the movement wasn’t inspected. And the movement is defined as ‘chronometer oficially certified(dial) and ‘adjusted five (5) positions and temperatures’. So, tell me does it happend- chronometer-grade movements without ‘1’
The back of the case (the reverse side- the movement side) is signed ‘acier inoxidable’, OMEGA WATCH CO (in a triangle), ‘fab suisse swiss made’ and 163.001.
- The reverse is polished with NO OBSERVATORY. Have you seen Constellation with NO OBSERVATORY?
Moreover, I’ve never seen such a Constellation model on Internet
So I wonder, weather it is a fake or not?
