Hi Guys, I know which watch Angus is talking about... it took a while but I got it !

I think it could be [a Cosmic], the look sounds right. The case is a super size hexaginal (10 rounded off sides anyway).
Hmmm I don't know of any Octagonal Cosmics.....

2 red registers, 1 blue register, blue face, white tachymetre around the edge, orange seconds hand,
Double Hmmm, .... I don't know of any Cosmic Chronographs......

and it all looks pretty cosmic from where I am.
If it were a Cosmic watch, it would have Cosmic on the dial. Cosmic wasn't a style or look, it was more of a price class ( As far as Omega is concerned ).

I believe they was a black pvd version to,
Bing Bing Bing !!! Black PVD ?? definatley 100% NOT a Cosmic....... thinks..... thinks ..... thinks Black PVD ? there aren't many Omegas that are black PVD. a few quartz seamasters from the 80's, but no chronographs....

I have a picture of them here together. What sort of value would a good one be on normal metal and original strap?
Them ? Normal metal ? so there's a "Silver version" & a Black version, octagonal & chronograph..... got it yet ???

Chucks pics used !

Darth & Anakin !!

You can read more about these in Chucks Article covering these watches Here

Values ?

I'd estimate between $800 & $1500 depending on condition & location (on eBay, dealers prices will be somewhat higher ). They are very scarce at the lower end of that price range though

Angus, you've picked quite a rare Omega to start your collection with.

: with thanks
Angus

You're welcome ! sorry for the delay, but I really couldn't think which watches you meant.

BTW, you said you have a picture of them next to each other.... could you E-mail me or post a copy. I'd like to see that pic.

All the Best

Steve
