THE OFFICIAL POLICY
In Response To: You bet ()

Just FYI - courtesy of Lev on the timezone forum:

If an Omega watch has no serial number engraved on the back of the case, there are two possibilities:

1. It is a vintage model and the serial number is engraved inside the watch, on the movement.

2. The serial number is erased: that means the product has been altered. Omega will not service under warranty any watch that has been altered. Also, Omega will only service watches under warranty that come with a complete filled in warranty card. And if the name of the company appearing on the warranty card is not an authorized dealer, the watch won't be serviced under warranty either.

Nevertheless, the watch can be repaired at the charge of the customer if the watch is a genuine Omega watch.
