Re: It Was An April Fool's Day Joke....

: Well, you fooled me, and while I did find the
: Anna Nichole Smith reference slightly out of
: place, that woman has both the brass and
: audacity (plus the "Bond girl"
: measurements!!) to take the role if it was
: offered to her.

I'm surprised the story fooled as many people as it did. I thought that the title "Golddigger" (being a play on the real film "Goldfinger") would give away the joke for sure. One guy over on TZ actually checked the Reuters and AP websites to try to corroborate the story. I thought it was so outrageous that no one would think it was true.

: As far as the rest of the press release, I
: unfortunately found it completely
: believable. What does that say about the
: movie's chances for success, and one could
: ask the same question about the new Bond
: watch dial??

One thing I was going to add to the story was a quote from Daniel Craig saying, "They even forced me to wear this hideous new Omega watch for publicity shoots. I'm supposed to be playing the strong, rugged, super-spy James Bond, and I can't even look at the dial of my watch without taking Dramamine first." Maybe I should have added that?????
