John thanks very much for your replies, much appreciated. You may not continue to respond when you find out this watch was not purchased from an AD. I know, but I couldn't resist. Hang in there and tell me what I should do next. The seller is in California and offers a 1 year warranty. Understandably I am not thrilled by the prospect of having an unknown repair person messing with it. Should I start with him or send it to authorized Omega service at my expense. Or should I just live with the watch as is for now? Thanks again
