No Replacements for Non-Co-Axial SMPs???

Given all of the rumors that had been circulating about what Omega was going to unveil at Basel, I have to admit that I am thrilled that they did NOT release replacement watches for the current Bond SMP, 2254.50 SMP, etc. I always felt that these watches were fine as they are and that simply throwing in a co-axial escapement and adding $1000 to the price would have been a very bad idea. If Omega wants to create new co-axial watches, more power to them. However, I was never in favor of seeing them change these classic watches and add four figures to the price.

I suppose the rumored co-axial Bond watch we were hearing about was the Limited Edition piece, not a new co-axial 2531.80. This should prove very interesting, since photos from the set show Daniel Craig wearing a Planet Ocean in some scenes and what looks like the current Bond SMP in another. Could this mean that the Bond SMP will remain the "Bond watch" (or one of the Bond watches)??? Is that watch on Craig's wrist actually the Bond GMT??? I guess we'll have to wait to find out.

I'm just happy that my current Bond SMP and 2254.50 aren't going to be replaced by new models (at least not yet).
