Newbie here

Newbie here. I helped my wife with the purchase of my first Omega, Seamaster 300M Titanium, at Christmas. I love my watch and I've learned a great deal by lurking here during the last few months.

I have had an issue with the watch running slow, 7-9 seconds/day. It is my guess that the watch was magnetized upon receipt from my gray market dealer. (Sorry guys, I was uneducated back then.) The watch will pull a compass needle with ease. I attempted to have the watch fixed at an AD in Scottsdale, AZ. The watchmaker was not in that day and the prissy premadonna sales person had a minor episode when I hinted that the watch was magnetized. (He had zero familiarty with this problem. Perhaps he was a high-end purse guy?) He did suggest that my watch probably needed to be overhauled. I'm now looking for another AD to have the watch demagnetized. Shouldn’t be a big deal, there are at least five other AD's here in Phoenix.
