Omega discontinuing 2531.80

Some thoughts on Omega discontinuing the 2531.80 later this year.

Omega is an innovator, and innovators tend not to stand still very long. But there is something to be said for sticking with a good thing.

I could understand phasing out the 1120 cal., in favour of the Coaxial movt. That makes sense. But it does not make sense to phase out the 2531.80. It is a classic, comparable with the Rolex Submariner.

I think Omega is emphasizing its differences, rather than its strengths (e.g.--From the moon to Mars).

Makes no sense.
