Re: My Ti SeMP finally tripped a metal detector

: Was coming back from two weeks offshore on my
: boat, and flew thru Miami International.
: Took off all metal except the watch, and the
: alarm rang. Found a quarter in my pocket and
: tried again, and still tripped the alarm.
: Finally took off the watch, and got through.
: This is the first time my Ti SeMP has ever
: triggered a metal detector. I should also
: note that security at Miami International is
: massive, and they now have a "sniffer
: booth" that will do an explosives scan
: on an entire person in 5 seconds.
: BTW - My 2293.50 did just fine for two weeks on
: (and in) the Caribbean, and also survived
: many exposures to solvents (usually Tequila
: or Rum) during this time.

This is the first time that I have heard of an incident of the likes too. I thought there was a discussion of metal detectors some time back, but that no one tripped the alarm. Amazing how sensitive those equiptment are. Glad to hear that both of you guys survived the Caribbean ordeal.
