Are you an Omega fan or collector ?

Hi Guys,

I have to admit, I don't "know" most of you. ( especially the lurkers )

I'd like to ask all the Forum readers how you see yourselves.

Are you an Omega "fan" or "collector" or something else ?

OK, OK. I guess EVERYONE who comes here is a "fan", but you don't have to be a collector if you have 1 or 2 watches.

Are you a "fan" with 1 or 2 watches & it will stay that way ?
or are you a "collector" who will gradually buy more ?
or are you a "dealer"/ "speculator" / "flipper"... you have a few, will buy & sell some & next year will still have a few.... ala Dave Marksell.

I'm sure some of us here are collectors, we have more watches than a sane person really needs.

I am a Collector & fan. I have a "few" Omegas. Actually more than enough, but not as many as I "need".

Tell us a bit about yourself, your watch interests, current collection & future plans.

I'm not asking for any secrets to be exposed.

Lemme start.

I have a "reasonable" Omega Collection. comprising of mostly Speedmasters & Dive Seamasters. I'd MOST of my collection is Mechanical, but I also have a few f300 watches. ( I actually surpised myself when I counted them ! )

I'm lucky because I already have most of the watches that I "Need".

Future buys will include the Seamaster 120/400 chrono ( I just narrowly missed one). I'm also hankering after a Seamaster "bumper" with the date at 06:00 ( it's all Jon & Bill Sohne's fault ! ) & Probably a modern Seamaster GMT

I'm tending towards this model...

Here is another recent purchase of mine...

Actually I bought this by "accident". I sawthe action, couldn't belive the price, put a "marker bid" on it, which was 1 Euro more than the previous bidder. ( I was already following 100 other auctions ) & 1 day later I had won it !

I'm sure regulars will know some of my watches. I've posted a few here & will post more as time goes on.

Finally, another of my interests is Omega Brochures & Catalogues. This started because I was looking for Info ( on the internet ) on some of my watches. At that time, with the exception of Chuck Maddox's amazing website, I didn't find much out there.

I bought a few brochures, scanned them in & hosted them. After a while I "bought" my website ( www.Old-Omegas.com ) address & moved up a gear.

I have NOT hosted all that I have.
Here are SOME of the brochures that I haven't scanned & hosted yet.
