Re: The SMP 2254.50 Is Back from New Jersey...

: It looks like Omega held to their promise of
: expediting my "repairs to my
: repairs" of my SMP 2254.50. FedEx just
: dropped it off, and I've inspected it with a
: fine-tooth comb. All I can see is a small
: scratch on the clasp, but after all I've
: been through I think I'll just live with it.
: They re-polished the bracelet to make it
: look like new, removed all the dust from the
: dial, replaced my scratched bezel insert,
: and even put the bracelet back in the right
: direction!!!! After having waited over 3
: months now, I'm not sending it back for that
: one little scratch on the clasp.

: Anyway, I still won't use New Jersey again,
: since I know that the only reason my watch
: was fixed properly this time is because I
: got Switzerland involved and ended up
: receiving special treatment from the
: customer care manager. Had this not been a
: "return of a return", who knows
: how it would have been serviced?

: Also, I still have to see how well it keeps
: time over the next few days. If it's poor,
: the watch will go to Bienne.

: I hope this nightmare is finally over.

I also hope that your nightmare is over. You and however many other people out there that experienced this definately didn't deserve it. Omega should realize that this is hurting their ego, and if it continues, it could hurt them beyond "repair." Sad, but true..... Let's hope for the best....
