In Response To: which one to buy? ()

: I am going to buy an Omega Seamaster. I really
: like the limited edition 40th anniversary
: Bond watch. I have seen them on eBay go
: anywhere from 1500.00 to 3000.00. I also
: like the 300 M Chrono Diver 2599.80.00. They
: are going to be comparable in price. I am
: asking for suggestions on which one should I
: buy? Also what do some of you think about
: the sellers on eBay one coming to mind is
: AuthenticWatches. Authentic sells the
: watches at a fraction of the cost then
: authorized dealers. Any feedback would be
: greatly appreciated.

I don't trust authenticwatches.com AT ALL. They make up fake model numbers by swapping bracelets, and a few people on the forums have had bad experiences trying to get these gray market watches serviced. I wouldn't even contemplate buying from them.

Check your e-mail for my referral to a reputable authorized dealer whose watches come with a factory Omega warranty (unlike those from authenticwatches.com).

As for which to buy, it all depends on whether you are looking for a chronograph or something to commemorate the Bond films. The 2537.80 limited edition watch is more collectible, but if you would prefer a chronograph the 2599.80 is an excellent choice.
