I will try to limit my replies as I feel the topic is long in the tooth and neither of us will change our viewpoint....
However I must say it is interesting that you are so hung up on the fact that ETA modifies movements for Omega, they are both owned by Swatch...I fail to see how this is different from Aegler having made movements for Rolex and now Rolex owns Aegler? I guess the only difference is that at least Omega used to manufacture their own movements whereas Rolex always outsourced and only with time were they able to buy their supplier.
With that said call it what you like, but with regards to the Rolex finish I am sorry, it isn't that nice at all...hardly anything I would compare to the Omega.
I would feel there is alot more to brag about with a well designed and finished ETA than a barely finished, highly priced movement that once it goes out of production the clock for parts support starts to tick leaving vintage owners high and dry.
