I have the opportunity to get a one of the rare Speedmaster 'FIFA' watches in mint condition. These are the ones presented to the world cup referees at one of the South American world cups (1970 Mexico World or 1978 Argentina?).
There is one on Omegamania at an expected USD 1,700 - 2,500 (http://catalog.antiquorum.com/catalog.html?action=load&lotid=276&auctionid=158) and I've seen them offered for as much as $2800 but then I've seen one go on ebay last year for EUR 910 (around US$1200), although this didn't look to be mint.
I guess it's one of those watches that because of it's rarity is difficult to set a price on. so looking for advice ....what would you think would be a reasonable price to pay?
Cheers
Andy
