Here's the gen on the watch gleaned from many useful forum members (thanks all!)
The Omega 'FIFA' watch, model ref. ST 11.003-2, powered by a calibre 1045 in an American-made case (from the Star Watch Case Co.) These were made by Omega in 1979 specifically for the Fédération Internationale de Football (FIFA) and officially adopted by FIFA in September of that same year exclusively for the use of their match referees.
Production numbers unkown but probably less than 500 (awaiting clarification from Omega).
Cheers
Andy
