HOWEVER
The chronograph that gets the most "funny looks" as in "WHAT is that on his wrist", is my Speedmaster MK III. It's a huge lump of metal & you can hardly miss it. I guess the unusual dial colour helps it stand out even more.
BUT
the ULTIMATE ( non-chronograph ) is the PloProf. It is just short of making small kids scream in terror, or causing little old ladies to cross the street when I approach them. ( either that or I need a new hair cut ! )
When I wear this one, I do notice people openly staring at my wrist.

The watch that gets the most comments is the "plain" old Speedmaster Pro. Most people ( the ones that look at watches, that is ) recognise it & occasionally I get comments on it.
