A couple more points... *PIC*

I agree with Chucks points EXCEPT :-

Registered Mail is slow because the package is under lock and key with signature tracking of every person who handles it along the way, but it's nearly impossible for a postal worker to pocket a valuable from the mail and not get fired if you use this method of shipping.

The ONLY watch which was sent to me & never arrived, was sent via USA Registered post. The ONLY thing recorded was that the packet was handed into a US post office. Despite numerous phone calls & E-mails from both myself & the sender the USPS couldn't/wouldn't provide any further info. Eventually ( after about 3 months ) they simply closed the complaint/search. Their last words were that the packet went to Europe... I asked about details, when , where ( ship / plane, which airport / post etc etc ) - nothing. USPS didn't provide any tracking.

Maybe the info for postage within USA is better, but for packets going abroad, the USPS service wasn't worth 1 cent.

My second point, is make the final packaging box quite BIG... if the watch is in a smallish box, it is easy for the box to be slipped into a jacket pocket / bag etc etc.

Here's an example of the Box that I used to send my Speedsonic to it's new owner in Australia. Ae watch is pictured ON the box to give you an idea of the scale.

I'd say it is almost impossible to sneak this box out & it also provides a large saftey zone for the well packed watch inside it.
