I like it . . . scary circumstances.

Of all natural diasters, fire is the most "alive".
Hurricanes are ponderous, implacable, immutable and unstoppable.
Tornados are temporal, immediate, but short lived and repeatable bouts of terror . . . that you know are coming.
Earthquakes and tsunamis are startling and unpredictable, impossible to escape and just an pervasive threat never to be dismissed.
But a fire is long lived and unpredictable, capricious and seemingly with a will of its own.
