Re: Help with identifying and authenticating my Constellatio

: PS-

: Does this seem to be a candiate for being a
: "frankenwatch" that I have read about? Or do the
: combinations I have seem authentic?

: Only Omega dealers have ever opened the watch while it has been in
: my ownership, and none of them ever mentioned anything looking
: "off" inside.

: Again- thanks for your help, time and knowledge.

Sorry to hear of your accident . . . hope your recovery continues apace

Are the diamonds on the dial only or on the bezel as well? The bezel is the portion of the case closest to the crystal.

As you may be familar with Rolex watches, it is common to customize watches with different dials, less so the bezel.

The watch you have described may not be what most that came from the factory looked like, and may have been customized, but it is unlikely to be a "Franken".

Frankenwatches are put together of legitimate but mismatching parts to come up with something that never existed. I suspect your watch may have had diamonds added or a face replaced, but is otherwise all original.
