Re: new DeVille- how water resistant should they be?
In Response To: new DeVille *PIC* ()

I have a problem w this watch. Just after I got it back from overhaul, I accidently wore in the shower for about 2 minutes before I noticed, Quickly removed and dried using a warm lamp, doing fine but the a week later it fogged again, this time without any exposure to water? I contact the person who did the work. He said it is an Antique (est 40 years old) and as such offers no guarantees. I spent a considerable amount with his repairs...He replaced crystal (acryllic, I wanted mineral but he said he couldn't find one?) and stem then supposedly cleaned and adjusted. I understand it is an old watch but it sure seems like it should be more water resistant than my experience? Any comments? Should I take somewhere else, he didn't seem too interested in spending any more time on it.

: recently purchased and just back from a cleaning w new crystal and
: stem...all the jeweler could find was a Case#459681 and
: C6336...neither of which brings any info up on the Omega
: website...any other ideas or potential info?
